Many people already wrote a lot of thoughts about latest SQL Server 2005 Update from Paul Flessner. The most important issue in the Update is the fact that database mirroring is delayed. It is still going to be in the product in RTM, although it should not be used in production until first half of 2006. I don’t have much to add to this Update and to blogs and comments in newsgroups. I simply can’t help myself not expressing my personal disappointment. I am disappointed because there is less than two months till RTM, and Microsoft still has issues with very important parts of SQL Server 2005. On the other hand, I think it is much better to delay a feature than to ship an unstable product.
